About This Spot

Grind Floor Cafe settles comfortably into the rhythm of Taman Melawati life, where afternoons drift quietly and evenings carry a softer kind of buzz. From the moment you step through its doors on Jalan E 1, there’s a friendly ease that lets you slow down, whether you’re tucked away inside or perched at one of the simple outdoor tables. This is a spot where time feels just right—unhurried yet alive with the casual energy of familiar faces and whispered conversations.

The space itself carries a subtly modern, youthful vibe with cozy corners perfect for lingering over a book or catching up with friends. The mood balances between laid-back and purposeful—a place to reset, savor the moment, and enjoy something thoughtfully crafted without fuss.

Grind Floor’s menu echoes this balance too. Their coffee invites you in with gentle complexity; think of an iced roasted hazelnut latte that cools and comforts or a caramel latte that lingers with quiet sweetness. As the day rolls into evening, the cafe takes on a heartier note, offering burgers that lean into classic simplicity and satisfy without pretense. Desserts, especially the tiramisu and the banana pudding, seem made for unhurried indulgence—each bite revealing a tender harmony of flavors that keeps people coming back for more.

Regulars find themselves drawn to this place not just for the food and drinks but for the understated joy of its atmosphere—a cozy hub that feels simultaneously like a refuge and a local gathering point. Whether it’s a solo pause with a latte or a casual meet-up with friends, Grind Floor Cafe holds a quiet invitation to be present and savor the small moments.

Nice cafe at the afternoon and serves burger for dinner The cheesecake is nice treat at noon for a reasonable price and taste good For the burgers they only serve them for dinner nice classic simple smash burger, with fries as sides Two small burger patty and soft bread bun with cheese wish the bun was a bit firmer though the patty and taste is good, if you prefer a meatier taste, the sauces isn't too much the loaded cheese fries is plenty, honestly enough to fill a person cheese and minced meat ontop of fries

10/10 tiramisu. RM12.50 for square-sized dine in, and RM13.50 for take-away (in this economy?!!). The cheese tasted quite sweet, but it was balanced with the coffee taste from the lady fingers biscuit. We came at around 9:45PM on Friday so parking was not so hard to find. However, seating was quite limited inside the cafe. They do offer few tables outside and also prepare extra seats (healing chairs) in case it's not enough. Bonus point for the cute kitties and the cafe for providing food and drink for the cats! Will definitely repeat

Nice place to chill out. The tiramisu taste was quite nice, and the drinks served also were not too sweet.

I was craving for the tiramisu and banana pudding. I would say the i love the banana pudding however for the tiramisu, in my opinion just nice. The cafe very GenZ-ish, very cozy for lepak2.

found this cafe through a friend — didn’t expect much at first. just thought it’d be another spot for our usual cafe hunting. Now it’s my go-to lepak spot.Been here more than 10 times, bringing friends from another state to try their coffee. Tried a few others nearby, but nothing beats their iced vanilla latte with oat milk (my usual). Prices are reasonable, and they’ve got desserts and now serving hot foods too. A solid spot to chill indeed

first time here. want to try the tiramisu and it was available, food was good and reasonably priced, ordered the loaded fries, generous amount of minced beef and sauce. had a bunch of board games. overall a good place to hangout and will def come again for the tiramisu.

Nice please and definitely nice coffee! Plenty of roadside parking so coming here is really a bliss. The coffee is smooth. The barista really know his trade well. Recommended for coffee lovers to come here

Regular here since Nov 2024. Always my go-to spot for monthly catch up session with friends. Have been with them since only coffee and desserts, to coffee + desserts + food vendors, now serving coffee + in house desserts and more in the making! Each drink and dessert on menu is average
